The Original Series is the most popular collection in our range. Here you will find professional quality handmade brushes. The Original brushes contain a combination of white natural Chungking bristles and synthetic bristles, also known as the Staalmeester® fibre mix. This collection has been specially developed for all types of water-based paints. In the Original Series you will find brushes in various shapes and sizes, which you can use to create your masterpiece.
Materials
When we introduced the Original Series, we also brought out our first Staalmeester® fibre mix: a combination of white natural Chungking bristles and synthetic fibres. These bristles feature the well-known purple colour. All handles for the Original Series are made of FSC wood. This means that the wood comes from a sustainably managed forest. High quality for you and good for the environment. The beechwood handles feature a bright lacquer. Some brushes are extra recognisable thanks to their green-coloured tip or orange string. The bristles are extra secured in a copper-plated ferrule. This prevents the paint from leaking through and you don’t have to fish out loose bristles from your newly painted masterpiece.
Products in the Original Series
The Original Series contains quality brushes that, as mentioned above, are extremely suitable for processing water-based paints. First of all, you will find a round brush in this collection. This is the most commonly used brush in the Netherlands. This brush is ideal for painting furniture, spindles or doors. The round brush is often used in combination with a bended fitch brush. This allows you to draw fine lines with ease, in places that are more difficult to reach. Extra special feature: the bended fitch brushes in the Original Series are handmade in a sheltered workshop. For trimming window frames and skirting boards or painting details, our pointed sash brush is the best choice. We often call our pointed sash brushes a 2-in-1 brush, because you not only get the edges and small profiles, but it takes care of the larger surfaces effortlessly. The absolute favourite among home decor painters and furniture flippers is the oval brush. Thanks to the shape, you can paint both wide strips and narrow strips with the same brush, simply by turning the brush. Medium to large surfaces are best painted with a flat brush. The flat brush in the Original Series can be used very well for staining and varnishing large surfaces such as (parquet)floors. You can easily paint even larger surfaces with the Original wall brushes. This large brush is ideal for painting floors, walls and ceilings. Want to paint a hard-to-reach spot? Then choose the radiator brush, the bended fitch brush or the double-thick facade brush. With the curved head and bristles that guarantee good paint absorption and release, you can easily provide any heater or corner with paint, without dripping.
